Eucalyptus 'Silver Dollar' is a beautiful Eucalyptus species native to Australia. This beautiful plant is suitable for both outdoors and indoors. The Silver Dollar stands out for its unique silver-blue rounded leaves. The leaves, usually about 5-6 cm, are arranged in pairs on the branches and create a silvery sheen to which the tree owes its name. Eucalyptus Silver Dollar is a popular choice among landscapers and gardeners because of the beautiful colour of the leaves and resistance to frost. The plant is hardy up to around -15 degrees Celsius. Nice to know: the leaves of the Eucalyptus are used to extract aromatic oil. If you want to experience the scent of wellness in your own home, pour boiling water over a handful of Eucalyptus leaves to create your own steam bath that helps you breathe more freely. The plant also keeps mosquitoes and flies at bay as they do not like the smell.

Care
Eucalyptus Silver Dollar likes a sunny spot in well-drained soil. If the Eucalyptus is pruned regularly, it remains a compact tree or shrub. If you don't, it can grow into a metre-high tree. So how you prune it depends on your personal preference. If you want to keep it compact, March is the best period to prune it back.
